Madeleine is a teaching artist with 10+ years of experience teaching drama in both schools and drama institutions across Australia.

As a qualified secondary teacher in N.S.W., she seamlessly aligns drama classrooms with NESA standards and curriculum outcomes. A secondary specialisation in history (modern) provides an academic foundation for rigorous teaching. Furthermore, her master's in directing from NIDA has solidified her leadership skills within a range of learning environments, from young people to adults.

Throughout her teaching experience, Madeleine has been active in all facets of education, from a keen drama student in high school to a classroom assistant, teaching classrooms, and now creating programs and workshops for other drama educators to facilitate in their own classrooms.

Places where Madeleine has taught include:

  • Sydney Theatre Company

  • National Institute of Dramatic Art (MFA Writers Program & NIDA Open)

  • Australian Theatre for Young People

  • Marian Street Theatre for Young People

  • The Drama Studio
